Cathay Dragon, regional airline of the Cathay Pacific Group, will launch a direct Davao to Hong Kong flight starting Oct. 28 this year.
According to the Hong Kong flag carrier, an Airbus A320 aircraft will be utilized for the four-times-a-week flights.
“We have a rich and robust history of serving the Philippines and we are thrilled today to grow our presence to Davao, our fourth destination in the country,” Cathay Pacific country manager (Philippines) Rob Bradshaw said.
“With our renowned signature service and convenient schedule, customers will be assured of a premium experience when they travel with us. Through the efficient and passenger-friendly Hong Kong hub, the world is now one step closer to our customers in Mindanao,” he added.
Cathay also operates in Manila, Cebu, and Clark. It recently launched services to Nanning and Jinan in China and Brussels, Belgium. It is will also launch flights to Dublin, Ireland, and Washington, USA this year.
The airline has been serving the country since 1946.
