Hino to help propel infra growth in ‘golden age of construction’

The next five years will see a surge in construction as the government focuses on implementing cross-country infrastructure projects, such as bridges, airports, and farm-to-market roads. More real-estate developers are also expected to ramp up construction projects as the Duterte administration pushes for a modified land-reform program that imposes higher tax on idle lands.

As a partner in this expected golden age of construction, Hino Motors Philippines (HMP), the exclusive distributor of Hino trucks and buses in the Philippines, launched a new addition to its 700-truck series, the FS2P mixer truck, during the Infrastructure Congress and Expo Philippines (Icep) at the World Trade Center from May 3 to 5, 2017.

“The golden age of construction will see a high demand for commercial trucks to support activities (that include) compaction hauling and land cementation. HMP continues to rise to the challenge of meeting mobility requirements by innovating new trucks, such as the FS2P mixer truck, in response to the expected surge in infrastructure development,” said HMP Chairman Vicente T. Mills Jr.

The FS2P mixer truck can be used for different construction and ground-consolidation purposes, infrastructure-building, and road works.

Tuned to produce 350 horsepower (hp) at 2,100 revolutions per minute (rpm), the FS2P mixer runs on a Hino P11C engine paired with a nine-speed transmission. With a 32,300-kilogram capacity, the Euro 3-compliant mixer has power steering and a 266-liter full-tank capacity.

“Aside from innovating new trucks, we will continue strengthening construction-industry partnerships and participating in major construction-industry exhibits, such as the Icep,” Mills said.

“Building on our strong sales momentum, we remain committed to innovating together and pursuing product and service excellence to help power infrastructure projects in the golden age of construction,” he added.

For more than 40 years, HMP has been serving as a one-stop shop catering to the truck and bus needs of both small to medium businesses and large companies alike. By offering high-quality trucks and buses, HMP ensures that its partners are able to leverage its product and service expertise in meeting their shipment and logistics needs.
