Megaworld Corp., the country’s largest developer of integrated urban townships, will start constructing a commercial town center in its 53-hectare Northill Gateway township in Negros Occidental province early next year.
The 7.5-hectare Northill Town Center will be a horizontal commercial development to house dining, retail, leisure, and tourism amenities.
“We are excited to build the first-ever commercial development along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road, which is Negros Occidental’s tourism highway,” said Kevin L. Tan, senior vice president and head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls.
“This development will be a refreshing take on the brand of ‘lifestyle mall’ that Megaworld is offering in its various townships that is now accessible to the people of Negros Occidental.”
The town center is expected to operate by early 2018.
Northill Gateway is a joint township development of Megaworld and its wholly owned subsidiary Suntrust Properties Inc., in partnership with the Lacson family.
Megaworld is now constructing Forbes Hill, the township’s most upscale residential village, while Suntrust is building Fountain Grove, another themed residential community.
Megaworld is investing P35 billion in the next 10 years to develop Northill Gateway and The Upper East, another upcoming township near the city center of Bacolod. PNA
