SMDC launches condo project outside metro

SM Development Corp (SMDC), the residential arm of SM Prime Holdings Inc., launched its first high-rise residential building expansion out of the metropolis in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

The condominium called “Green 2 Residences” is the latest addition to SMDC’s portfolio of “Universty Town” and it was inspired by the success and significant growth of the established school hub projects like Sun near University of Santo Tomas and the University Belt, Blue and Berkeley Residences near Ateneo de Manila University in Katipunan, Quezon City, Princeton Residences along Aurora Boulevard in Quezon City near St. Paul College, as well as Mezza and Mezza II Residences in Sta. Mesa near UERM, and Green across De La Salle University along Taft Avenue.

In a press briefing, SMDC Executive Vice President Jose Mari Banzon said that Green 2 Residence will carry the features that defined the success of SMDC’s projects such as convenience and accessibility.

The condominium is located in Dasmariñas, Cavite, which currently the home of the most populous universities such as De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, De La Salle Health Sciences Institute, and Emilio Aguinaldo College Cavite that caters more than 20,000 students and faculty.

The booming “University Town” is also near high-foot-traffic establishments like SM City Dasmarinas, Waltermart and Central Mall Dasmarinas, to name a few.

Green 2 Residences’ 1,057 units are available to market with sizes ranging from 18.98 square meters for studio units to 31.57 square meters for two-bedroom units. These will be sold at price ranging from P2.6 million to P2.9 million for studio type which will compose 92 percent of the tower and P4.5 million for the larger units.

It also offers amenities such as Wi-Fi ready study areas, gym, lap pool, multi-purpose laws, function room, and lounges.

In addition, Banzon said that SMDC is also expanding to launch projects in areas where SM Group has already established its malls such as Davao, Iloilo and Bacolod.
