It’s another mourning moment for the local entertainment industry when actor Patrik de la Rosa recently kicked the bucket.
Patrick died at the Adventist Hospital Bakersfield in California, USA.
This was announced by his wife, Arnie Bella de la Rosa who passed on the news to showbiz reporter Jojo Gabinete.
“He will be remembered for his unwavering love, strength, and compassion. His memory will forever remain in our hearts.
“We ask for your prayers and understanding as our family grieves this great loss,” said Arnie Bella.
Patrick’s nephew, Joram de la Rosa also shared the news of the sudden demise of his uncle.
Meanwhile, the people of Oriental Mindoro are also grieving over the death of Patrick.
This was announced by Oriental Mindoro Provincial Information Office.
De la Rosa was a former board member of the Oriental Mindoro Province.
Show people are saddened by the shocking news of his passing.
According to retired actress Monica Herrera, she was shocked when the sad news reached her.
“Nakakalungkot na balita…Isa na namang magaling na aktor ang pumanaw. Nakakalungkot naman, my friend. Ilang beses ko rin siyang nakasama sa mga pelikula noon—mabait, magaling, at propesyonal. May you rest in peace, Patrick,” prayed Monica.
Patrick is also known for his Facebook Account Name as Bruce Pat, hence Herrera’s reference to the action star. .
Romm Burlat, a film director and friend of de la Rosa couldn’t believe that showbiz buddy had gone.
“I was shocked to hear the news that my good friend Patrick Dela Rosa, Bruce Pat passed away today. When he decided to quit showbiz and politics, he moved to California. A few years back, he planned to produce a movie with me at the helm. We cannot really tell how long are we staying on earth. We should always be in contact with the Lord via unending prayers. Rest in eternal peace. Partner. Thanks for the friendship, Partner,” quipped Romm.
Former make-up artist Zeny Marcelo has to accept the fact that her friend has gone to the great beyond.
“Magka Chat lng tayo last week sabi m magbabakasyon Tatawagan m ako magkikita tayo. D ako makapaniwala pumanaw kna sa edad 64 klng. Condolence sa family m naiwan (We still chatted and he said he would call and see me when he take a vacation again in the country. I can’t believe that you are gone at 64 years old. My deepest sympathies to the family he left behind),” wrote Zeny in her Facebook wall.
Patrick started in the movies when he appeared as an endorser of the Close-Up toothpaste commercial.
He was introduced in the bold film “Shame” directed by Elwood Perez as the launching movie of the late Claudia Zobel for Regal Entertainment.
De la Rosa’s other film projects included “Mga Babas sa Isla Azul,” “Hula Mo, Huli Ko,, ”Ang Agimat: Anting-Anting ni Lolo,” “Kristo,” “Suskpek,” “Ping Lacson: Super Cop,” “Ex-Con” and a lot more.
Patrick migrated to the US in the 2010s.
