Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is gearing up for a transformative year as it readies the launch of two state-of-the-art data centers and two major international submarine cable systems, all set to go online within 2025.
During the company’s virtual annual stockholders meeting on Friday, Converge CEO and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy announced that the twin initiatives mark a strategic push toward the firm’s evolution into a full-fledged technology company.
“This 2025, Converge is positioned for a transformative year in the major plan ahead as we advance in our techco direction,” Uy said. “We are excited to activate two state-of-the-art data centers to support the growing demand for cloud and enterprise services. At the same time, two significant international cable systems—the Bifrost and the SEA H2X—are expected to go online this year.”
The two new data centers, currently under construction in Metro Manila and Pampanga, will house a combined total of 1,500 racks. These facilities are designed to cater to Converge’s expanding enterprise clientele and address the rising use of data-heavy applications by its residential broadband customers.
In January, the company’s Caloocan City facility received a rare Tier 3 design certification, validating its high level of maintainability, redundancy, and operational reliability. The data center is expected to be operational before year-end.
The upcoming subsea cable systems, Bifrost and SEA H2X, will further bolster Converge’s international connectivity, enabling the company to better serve both residential customers and large enterprises.
“The integration of our new data centers with the development of these cable systems positions us to strengthen our global operations and enhance service delivery,” Uy said.
Converge has earmarked PHP20 billion to PHP25 billion in capital expenditures for 2025, covering investments in the subsea cable systems and new data center infrastructure.
