ManilART 2025: Across Forms, Beyond Borders

ManilART, the country’s national art fair, returns for its 17th edition with the theme “Across Forms, Beyond Borders,” a celebration of the fluid and cyclical nature of inspiration. Set to run from October 15–19, 2025 at the SMX Aura Convention Center, Taguig City, this year’s fair highlights how creativity transcends categories, with artists drawing inspiration from disciplines including fashion, functional design, digital media and cuisine. The theme reflects the way ideas evolve and resurface, reinterpreted across time and form, weaving connections between the visual arts and other creative expressions.

Inspiration Across Disciplines

This year’s featured exhibits spotlight works inspired by other art forms such as fashion collections born from paintings, sculptures that echo textile design, and digital works that reinterpret physical media. The fair underscores how inspiration is cyclical, flowing between disciplines and eras, and how artists continually reinvent forms of expression through dialogue with other creative fields.

Beyond the exhibitions, ManilART’25 strengthens its commitment to education and cultural discourse through talks, panels and workshops. Features include a discussion with global Filipinos from across cultural sectors including cuisine, literature, and the visual arts, expanding conversations on how Filipino creativity resonates worldwide.

Heritage Cuisine and Cultural Intersections

In a unique collaboration, ManilART’25 partners with Coco Kusina, Philippine Coconut Kitchen to explore the interplay of visual art and heritage cuisine which utilizes local and artisanal flavors and ingredients. This partnership showcases how culture itself is a shared canvas, with food, art, and tradition intertwining to enrich the Filipino experience.
