November 27, 2024 was the loveliest day in the life of Filipina actress Mara Lopez.
It was because she finally said “I dos” to her American fiancé Chandler Booth whom she met in the US less than four years ago.
Amid the mild heat of the sun and the soft touch of the wind at the Pangulasian Island in El Nido, Palawan, Mara and Chandler exchanged wedding vows in the presence of their respective families and close friends.
Mara’s mom, beauty queen-actress Maria Isabel Lopez was also ecstatic about the marriage of her only daughter to the young American businessman.
Maria Isabel couldn’t contain her joy and excitement over the special moment of her unica hija.
Mara’s dad Hiroshi Yokohama couldn’t make it to the red-letter day of his daughter because he was in Japan so Maribel and her only son Ken Yokohama walked the bride to the aisle.
According to the older Lopez, her and Hiroshi’s daughter would be together in a surfing tour anytime now. “It’s okay for her even if his dad wasn’t around during her wedding,” said the beauty queen-actress.
Meanwhile, Maribel’s husband, American lawyer Jonathan Melrod was around to cheer her up and share the filial joy of the Lopezes and Yohohamas.
“Happily ever after. Celebrating the marriage of Mara and Chandler. Thank you Jaja Samaniego for the wonderful photos,” smiled Maria Isabel while writing her FB posts with red heart emoji.
The Yokohama-Booth nuptials were indeed a whole day affair which started the preparation the night before till the following evening at the beach where the newly-weds, family members and guests had fun and frolicked in matrimonial celebration.
