Pagsanjan, Laguna—His is a face that could launch a thousand, even million fans.
Indeed, Dindo Arroyo commanded his throng of followers to swarm around him when he went to this town and paid his last respects to its former mayor, actress Maita Sanchez.
It was a sight to behold when Dindo was mobbed by supporters in the middle of the sanctity of the occasion.
Although the adoring fans during the selfie session were manageable and were easily restrained, Arroyo himself was impressed by the way Pagsanjan youth was disciplined.
Dindo, together with Efren Reyes, Jr., actor and director, Marynette Gamboa, producer of Water Plus Productions and Arman Reyes, associate producer, drove from Manila and confronted the horrendous traffic in Bucal, Calamba, Laguna just to get through and arrived safely here.
The four celebs had just come from a production meeting about their film “Idol The April Boy Regino Story” produced by Water Plus Productions.
They talked about other ways to promote the movie which will be shown on November 27, 2024.
When the group reached the gateway of Pagsanjan, a heavy downpour met them.
It didn’t deter them, though, in seeing the remains of Maita, Girlie Maita Javier-Ejercito, in real life, because of friendship.
“Sister Maita, may you rest in paradise!!! Mayor ER and children, our sincere condolences and prayers!!! Arroyo Family!!! To God be the glory!!!” said Dindo in his Facebook wall.
