The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will begin filling nearly 2,000 vacant positions, prioritizing the promotion and regularization of long-serving contractual or job order employees.
Public Works Secretary Vivencio “Vince” Dizon announced the move as part of efforts to restore integrity and morale in the agency, emphasizing that “deserving, honest, and hardworking” personnel will be the first to benefit.
Most vacancies are for Engineer II to V positions with salaries ranging from ₱43,560 to ₱98,185.
Dizon also vowed to end salary delays, directing that all wages be released within seven days from cutoff and warning that officials responsible for late payments will be held accountable. TRACY CABRERA
