“Ipagdasal na lang natin siya na gumaling” —Phillip Salvador

I had a chance meeting with drama and action star Phillip Salvador at the Senate early last week.

It was a pleasant surprise on mutual grounds.

I was in the company of beauty queen-actress Azenith Briones and colleagues in the writing beat Erlinda Rapadas T. and Obette Serrano.

We haven’t seen Phillip for ages so we had a field day of intimate conversations from personal to political.

Uniquely, we talked about Kris Aquino, Salvador’s former love partner and dad of her son Joshua without even dropping her name.

Now that Kris is in town and on a comeback trail by way of a TV show while still undergoing medical treatment of her autoimmune diseases, Ipe (the actor’s pet name), has just a quick, categorical wish on the Queen of All Media. 

“Ipagdasal na lang natin siya na gumaling (We just have to pray for her speedy healing),” he exclaimed.

Salvador is aspiring for a Senate seat in the 2025 midterm elections.

According to him, he wants to improve the lives of the Filipinos in and out of show business.
