LandBank, TESDA tie-up to digitize scholarship payouts

Land Bank of the Philippines and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) have signed an agreement to enable digital disbursement of scholarship grants and training support funds for over 335,000 TESDA scholars.

The memorandum of agreement was signed on Feb. 16, 2026 at the TESDA Central Office in Taguig City by LandBank President and CEO Lynette Ortiz and TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez.

“Through this partnership, we are modernizing the payout of scholarship grants and training support funds,” Ortiz said. “TESDA scholars will now receive their allowances directly in their own accounts, ensuring fast, transparent, and reliable access to financial assistance.”

Under the deal, TESDA will use LandBank’s ATM Payroll Facility to credit scholarship allowances and training support funds directly to beneficiaries’ accounts. This system reduces delays, minimizes cash-handling risks, and eliminates repeated follow-ups.

Benitez said the arrangement strengthens the delivery of financial support. “Through this facility, we are providing our scholars and beneficiaries with an even more convenient, secure, and efficient way of receiving grants, allowances, and training support funds,” he said.

Scholarship payouts will be processed through LandBank’s weAccess facility, funded via TESDA’s designated Payroll Fund or Modified Disbursement System Account. The initiative covers TESDA’s Central Office as well as all regional, provincial, and district offices nationwide.

Beneficiaries can open a LandBank PISO Account requiring only ₱1 initial deposit, with no maintaining balance, a maximum balance or monthly credit limit of ₱50,000, and a free proprietary ATM card.

Eligible scholars aged 18 and above may opt for a LandBank PISO Plus Account, which requires no initial deposit and includes a Virtual Visa Debit Card.

Accounts can be opened digitally via the LandBank Mobile Banking App using one valid ID or a TESDA-issued endorsement letter.
