Today’s connected world presents a paradox: people want instant, up-to-date information, yet don’t want too many distractions. Leading computer and mobile-phone company Lenovo understands this and, in response, recently released in the Philippines the Moto 360 2nd Gen smartwatch, designed to streamline the wearer’s digital life and bring updates that matter.
“We are pleased to roll out in the country the Moto 360 2nd Gen smartwatch, [which promises] to simplify our lives [in] a world full of distractions. It raises the bar in smartwatch design, craftsmanship and style,” said Dino Romano, country manager of Lenovo Smartphones Philippines.
“More important, it allows users to prioritize what they truly need without missing out on the daily bliss of life with its full suite of useful functions,” he added.
The beauty of wearable devices is maximized in the new Moto 360. When the first series of Moto 360 smartwatches was launched, it wowed the world as the first smartwatch that actually looked like a stylish wristwatch. The smartwatch’s new series not only features a better design, but also gives wearers complete control of phone functions right on the wrist.
Wearers no longer need to constantly grab their phones from their pocket or purse, for the new Moto 360 can get notifications, Gmail messages and calendar invitations as easily as if they’re just glancing at the watch face. They can also respond to messages, hands-free, through voice command. It is powered by Android Wear and is wireless-fidelity internet-enabled, so users remain connected, even if their phone is out of Bluetooth range.
Using mobile apps has been made easier, too, thanks to the smartwatch’s exclusive Live Dials that provide shortcuts on the watch face. Music is always within reach with this smartwatch, as it allows users to sync their favorite playlists and podcasts from Google Play Music right to their Moto 360. They can also scan their flight’s boarding pass with the Fly Delta app.
Taking inspiration from the conventional watch, the Moto 360 comes in three different case sizes to fit different wrist sizes, and features lugs tailored for both men and women. The case is crafted with precision from aircraft-grade stainless steel. It combines edge-to-edge glass and a thin, polished bezel to give wearers the largest viewing area.
For fitness buffs, the Moto 360 Sport comes in a 45mm design. Men can choose between the 42mm model with black leather and its larger brother, the 46mm variant in cognac leather. Women, on the other hand, can wear the 42mm Moto 360 in one of the trendiest colors now, Rose Gold.
Also, users are free to choose from a wide variety of watch faces with a long press on the screen. Users can pick a classic watch face or more intricate designs among the 20 watch faces available in the Moto 360.
The smartwatch also features Moto Body, which helps the wearer lead a healthier lifestyle. This sports variant comes with a global-positioning system (GPS) to track speed, distance and pace while the user works out.
It is also designed to give the wearer training information without bringing a smartphone when jogging or running. Plus, the watch features accurate sensors, so it can track the calories burned, heart rate, and others
The Motorola’s AnyLight hybrid display makes it easy to use the watch in any environment. Users can receive spontaneous coaching throughout the day to keep them informed, as well as inspired to maintain a healthier lifestyle.
The Moto 360 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with 1.2-gigahertz quadcore processor. The 42mm variant is powered by a 300-milliampere battery and it can run up to 36 hours. The bigger 46mm model houses a 400mAh battery that can last up to two days when fully charged. It is charged through a wireless charging inductive.
The Moto 360 is melded with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass, and compatible with both Android and iOS platforms.
The Moto 360 Sport 45mm—which comes with black, white and flame—and Moto 360 42mm in black leather are priced at P16,999. The Moto 360 in rose gold costs P17,999, while the Moto 360 in cognac leather costs P18,999. These smartwatches are available at Gadgets in Style in TriNoma and Shangri-La Plaza, and at Power Premium Gadgets in SM Mall of Asia and SM Megamall.
