PAGCOR Inaugurates first socio-civic facility in Occidental Mindoro

Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro – The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) inaugurated the province’s first PAGCOR-funded socio-civic center on February 28.

The two-story facility, constructed with a P50 million grant from PAGCOR, will benefit residents of Mamburao’s 15 barangays and nearby municipalities.

Occidental Mindoro Governor Eduardo B. Gadiano, who led the unveiling alongside PAGCOR Vice President for Corporate Social Responsibility Group Ramon Stephen R. Villaflor, expressed gratitude for the project. He emphasized that the facility will serve not only as an evacuation center during calamities but also as a venue for various community initiatives.

Gadiano also noted that the center could generate additional revenue for the provincial government when rented out for events during non-emergency periods.

Villaflor reaffirmed PAGCOR’s commitment to community development, highlighting the socio-civic center as a testament to the agency’s dedication to nation-building.

To date, PAGCOR has completed and inaugurated 45 socio-civic centers nationwide, with 28 more facilities nearing completion.
