VinFast stand-outs VF 3, VF 5

Among VinFast’s broad lineup in the Philippines are two entry-level electric compact SUVs, the VF 3 and the VF 5 that bring real benefits in comfort, cost, warranty, and usability

The VF 3, often nicknamed the “tiny titan,” targets city drivers who want something small, stylish, and expressive. It measures 3,190 mm long, 1,679 mm wide, and 1,652 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,075 mm. Ground clearance reaches 175 mm, giving it enough height to handle uneven roads and light flooding with ease. Power comes from a 30 kW electric motor that delivers 110 Nm of torque. The 18.6 kWh battery offers a range of up to 215 km (NEDC standard), while fast charging from 10 to 70 percent takes about 36 minutes, ideal for quick top-ups during busy days.

On the other hand, the VF 3 is designed with personal expression and everyday practicality in mind. Its boxy, modern silhouette stands out among the sleek sedans on city streets, giving it a character that’s both playful and confident. Buyers can choose from 10 paint colors, ranging from classic white and silver to vibrant hues such as crimson red, urban mint, and rose pink. Each one changes the personality of the car—from sensible commuter to eye-catching statement piece.

With a starting price of P745,000, the VF 3 is among the most attainable EVs in the country, making it an ideal choice for people looking to upgrade from a motorbike to their first car. Warranty coverage includes 7 years or 160,000 km for the vehicle and an 8-year unlimited-km warranty for the battery if purchased with the car.

The VF 5 steps up from the VF 3 in both size, comfort, and capability. It’s built for people who want a little more breathing room—five seats instead of four, a wider cabin, and extra space for family or friends. Under the hood, the 100 kW motor delivers smooth, quiet acceleration. With 135 Nm of torque, it responds quickly in stop-and-go traffic without the gear shifts or vibration of a gasoline engine. The 37.2 kWh battery provides up to 326 km of range on a full charge (NEDC), more than enough for several days of city driving or a weekend road trip. A fast-charge to 70 percent in 33 minutes makes longer journeys easier to plan, while overnight charging at home restores full power by morning. Starting at around P1.05 million, it blends size, safety, and range in a package that’s approachable and reliable. The VF 5 shows that practicality and sustainability can share the same driveway—and look good doing it.

Both VF 3 and VF 5 enjoy strong warranty coverage. Each vehicle carries a seven-year or 160,000-km warranty, and a 10-year 200,000-km battery warranty. The VF 3 and VF 5 reflect the same goal — to make electric mobility accessible, reliable, and well-suited to everyday use in Philippine conditions. Each brings a different strength to the table—style and agility for the VF 3, space and versatility for the VF 5—but both show that practical, enjoyable electric driving is no longer out of reach.
