The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) have joined hands to enhance the country’s emergency healthcare system through a ₱141-million donation of 70 Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs).
The partnership was formalized during a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held at the PAGCOR Corporate Office in Pasay City on October 15, 2025.
The vehicles will be distributed by PCSO to qualified local government units (LGUs) nationwide to improve access to medical transport and emergency care, particularly in remote and underserved communities.
Each PTV is fully equipped with a GPS navigation system, stretcher, medical oxygen, wheelchair, and first aid kit—tools essential for saving lives in critical situations.
PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco said the initiative demonstrates PAGCOR’s firm support for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s efforts to strengthen the country’s healthcare and disaster response systems. “These vehicles are not mere means of transport – they are lifelines that can spell the difference between life and death,” he said. “By combining PAGCOR’s resources with PCSO’s long-standing expertise in health programs, we can reach more communities and save more lives.”
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles thanked PAGCOR for the collaboration, which he said would bring much-needed assistance to local communities.
The donation is part of PAGCOR’s broader commitment to deliver 246 PTVs nationwide. Since February this year, the agency has already distributed 60 units to various LGUs, hospitals, and frontline agencies across the country.
