Secretary Vince Dizon of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently inspected the ongoing bridge construction along the Villasis–Sto. Tomas Bypass Road in Pangasinan, confident the project is on track to be completed by end of 2027.
Dizon, joined by Pangasinan Gov. Ramon Guico III, district engineers and other officials of the DPWH, assessed the progress and bottlenecks affecting the construction timeline.
The inspection also covered two other major road networks crucial to decongesting traffic and improving mobility in eastern and central Pangasinan such as the Binalonan-Laoac-Villasis Diversion Road and the Dagupan-Mangaldan Diversion Road.
Both are identified as priority infrastructure projects under the province’s long-term development plan.
Dizon said DPWH is constantly monitoring ongoing projects to ensure contractors meet the deadlines.
