Employees of Security Bank moved together to fund the education of 41 scholars under the Regalo Mo, Kinabukasan Ko (RMKK) scholarship program.
As 2025 drew to a close, Security Bankers organized a series of employee-led initiatives, highlighted by a holiday marketplace at the Bank’s head office in Makati City.
The activities, carried out in collaboration with the Learning and Engagement Division, raised donations for Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI), directly supporting the educational needs of the Bank’s agency personnel—security guards, janitors, messengers, and drivers—as well as their children.
Beyond on-site activities, employees extended their support through SBFI’s Adopt a Scholar campaign. Contributions poured in through cash donations, Cheers Points from the Bank’s employee recognition program, and Security Bank Credit Card Rewards points. These combined efforts successfully secured scholarships for 41 RMKK scholars for School Year 2025–2026.
“This is a testament to how collective generosity can change lives,” said SBFI Chairman Rafael Simpao Jr. “Every contribution brings our scholars closer to realizing their dreams and building better futures for themselves and their families.”
The impact of the initiative resonated deeply during the Christmas season, when adopted scholars wrote heartfelt letters to their sponsors, sharing gratitude and pledging their commitment to finish their studies. For many employees, these messages became the most meaningful gift of the holidays.
One moment stood out in particular. Trina Ortega, Employee Engagement Lead of the Learning and Engagement Division, recalled how the mother of an RMKK scholar—herself a Security Bank security guard—personally visited the office to express her thanks for the opportunity given to her daughter. It was a quiet yet powerful reminder of how access to education can transform not just individual lives, but entire families.
Through the continued partnership between Security Bank and its Foundation, employee-driven initiatives remain a cornerstone of the Bank’s social responsibility efforts. By turning everyday generosity into long-term support for education, Security Bankers continue to help open doors and uplift the communities they serve.
