Fifteen years into her showbiz career, Sue Ramirez has reached a milestone she never expected to experience. When the news of her being named as Ginebra San Miguel Calendar Girl came, she cried—“tears of pure joy.”

“I honestly didn’t expect to come back or get this chance again. It was something I had prayed for,” Ramirez said during her official launch last November 26 at the Manila Diamond Hotel as Ginebra San Miguel’s 2026 Calendar Girl.
At the time of her casting, the 29-year-old actress admitted she wasn’t physically ready. She had just recovered from ankle and hand injuries and worried about the weight she gained after nearly four months of limited activity. Rather than letting that setback stop her, Ramirez used it as motivation. “It became my wake-up call—to live healthier, to eat better, and to move again.”
Her selection reflects years of hard work, perseverance, and personal growth, culminating in what she considers one of her most empowering roles yet. At the media launch, Ramirez commanded the room as she unveiled six calendar concepts, each crafted to capture the essence of a contemporary Siren.
“Nobody else embodies the modern Siren quite like Sue Ramirez,” said GSM AVP for Marketing Ron Molina. “She represents a woman who not only turns heads but also inspires others through her confidence, authenticity, and passion. Sue doesn’t just lure attention— she attracts success.”
Being called the “Street Siren” is a title Ramirez wears with pride. “It feels very empowering. Natuwa talaga ‘ko kasi it embodies strength, confidence, and also authenticity. Talaga namang those are the values that I uphold and I’ve worked for for a long time.”
For her, the role goes far beyond glamour. “For me, being a calendar girl is not just about being sexy. It’s owning your power, your voice, your story.”
“Being called the [Street] Siren feels like a badge of honor to me. Na parang, ‘Yes! This is me. This is Sue: strong, feminine, and unapologetically me.’”
She has been part of the Ginebra family for six years as a GSM Blue endorser. Their partnership has only grown stronger.
“I really feel like I have a bigger responsibility now. It’s not just GSM Blue that I’m bringing. This time, it’s not just the brand of alcohol, it’s [also] the basketball team. And it’s the whole family of Ginebra San Miguel that I’ll be finally bringing to everybody. It’s a much bigger responsibility for me.”
Ramirez calls this moment a breakthrough—her time to shine. “Tinitingnan ko rin itong chance na ‘to as a big, big blessing to me. After years of having such beautiful calendar girls in the past, ngayon ako naman.”
“I’m so privileged and honored and very, very proud as always to be a part of this family.”
The Ginebra calendar is a cultural icon, and she embraced every moment of bringing it to life. Asked about her favorite part, “It’s the process of seeing everything come together,” she said.
Her hope is to inspire people, especially women. “Just reach for your dreams. After all the hard work and all the growth I’ve gone through over the years, andito na ‘ko. And I’m sure kayang-kaya rin nila maabot lahat ng [mga] pangarap nila.”
This year alone, Ramirez released four films—”Flower Girl,” “One Hit Wonder,” “In Between,” and “Lasting Moments.” She’s also seen in the ongoing Netflix series “What Lies Beneath.”
