Just as Filipino international star Lea Salonga has announced that her current show at West End, “Sondheim’s Old Friends,” is a memorable experience, what can also be an unforgettable event is the showing up of a Hollywood big star and a former co-star in the West End and Broadway blockbuster “Miss Saigon” in the audience.
Not only that.
Jonathan Pryce, the exceptional The Engineer in Cameron McKintosh’s “Miss Saigon” also pays Lea a visit in her dressing room.
Salonga is proud to have met Jonathan up again.
Pryce really takes time out to see and have a photo-op with his Kim.
Jonathan is the famous actor in the hits “The Crown,” “The Two Popes,” “The Wife,” James Bond’s “Tomorrow Never Dies,” among many others.
“Sondheim’s Old Friends” is a tribute to the classical and iconic music man and composer Stephen Sondheim (“West Side Story,” “Sweeny Todd,” “The Gypsy” etc.).
Lea is elated to have known Pryce as a special guest in the show who she describes as “…absolute acting giant…”
Salonga also thanks all those who support the Sondheim homage in her Instagram message: “Only 15 more performances left of Sondheim’s Old Friends before we can call the hat finished. What an absolute privilege and pleasure this entire experience has been! I shall miss every single thing about it, especially this glorious company I got to play on stage at every shoe! To our audiences, thank you for joining us on this ride!”
