After announcing that it will permanently stop supporting Windows 7 and 8.1 earlier this year, Microsoft has finished with major updates for Windows 10 and declared that version 22H2 will be the LAST and final version of Windows 10. If you are still hesitant to upgrade to Windows 11, here is a GOOD reason to do so.
Beginning in the following year, Windows 10 will only get monthly security updates until Microsoft ends support for it on October 14, 2025.
Microsoft did not say how many years of additional support LTSC editions would receive, but they will continue to receive upgrades after the stated end of support date.
Given this development, Microsoft strongly advises users to upgrade to Windows 11 because, following the 22H2 update, Windows 10 will no longer receive new features. Given that Windows 10 was released in 2015, this indicates that the OS is getting older and that another era is about to come to an end.
On the other hand, this action is also one method Microsoft can persuade customers to switch to Windows 11, which has been available for more than a year.
