THE Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has rated and classified nearly 160,000 materials from January to November 2025.
Of this total, 116,634 were television programs, 39,784 TV plugs and trailers, 1,617 publicity and optical media materials, 1,226 movie trailers and 647 films, both local and foreign.
These figures reflect the MTRCB’s proactive role in upholding its mandate while balancing creative freedom.
“These numbers represent the tireless work of the Board and its employees to ensure that all materials, from television to film, are properly rated and classified, so that viewers are protected from inappropriate content,” said MTRCB Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto.
The MTRCB encourages viewers, especially parents and guardians, to refer to TV and film ratings when choosing content for their family, particularly when kids are present.
