The Chery Group of Companies, the umbrella conglomerate of which Omoda & Jaecoo exists, held a very successful 5-day Chery International User Summit 2025 in Wuhu, China.
With the theme “CO-CREATE · CO-DEFINE,” the parent company of Omoda & Jaecoo, the said Summit was attended by more than 3,000 participants from more than 100 countries who not only witnessed the debut of Aimoga’s strategic roadmap, an introduction into robotics, but also illustrated the parent company’s systematic transformation from an automobile manufacturer to a holistic technology ecosystem enterprise.
The launch of the Aimoga robots was not only a showcase of innovative intelligent technology but also a demonstration of the parent company’s forward-looking vision for the future of mobility ecosystems. It is now using Aimoga as a key enabler to integrate automotive expertise, global operations, and embodied intelligence—ushering in a new era that evolves from product output to ecosystem convergence.
The Omoda & Jaecoo’s parent company has continuously pushed the boundaries of core powertrain technologies: breaking through global battery safety limits, mastering solid-state battery technology, and setting industry benchmarks; boldly venturing into innovation “no-man’s lands,” achieving a revolutionary 48% engine thermal efficiency—while mainstream engines typically range from 38% to 45%, each 1% increase faces immense systemic challenges. The R&D team overcame these technical hurdles with multiple disruptive innovations, including a 26:1 ultra-high expansion ratio, hyperbolic triple-linkage mechanisms, 35% EGR rate, and thermal insulation coatings, staying at the forefront of engine technology.
This breakthrough is not only a technical achievement but also reshapes the value of hybrid vehicles: data shows that for every 1% increase in thermal efficiency, overall vehicle fuel consumption can drop by approximately 2.5%. In the future, hybrid vehicles are expected to enter the “1-liter fuel consumption era,” approaching the energy cost of pure electric vehicles and delivering long-term economic and practical value to users.
The core technology highlights of Omoda & Jaecoo hybrid vehicles were also comprehensively presented during the summit, demonstrating the brand’s leadership in power and energy efficiency. Equipped with the world-leading SHS Super Hybrid System, the three core components work in deep synergy to achieve “super performance, super range, ultra-low energy consumption, and super power.” The fifth-generation 1.5TDGI hybrid-dedicated engine incorporates deep Miller cycle, i-HEC intelligent combustion system, and six other advanced technologies, achieving a thermal efficiency of 44.5% and fuel consumption as low as 5.99 L/100km, balancing powerful performance with ultimate efficiency. The hybrid-dedicated infinitely variable super electric DHT intelligently switches driving modes according to vehicle speed, precisely matching power and fuel requirements under different conditions.
The high-performance hybrid battery pack features comprehensive protection, including heat resistance, impact resistance, waterproofing, and 2-millisecond post-collision power cut protection, supporting 90 km pure electric range and 3.3 kW external power output, ensuring safety, endurance, and outdoor power applications. During this long-distance test, Omoda & Jaecoo hybrid vehicles easily handled all road conditions, ensuring stress-free long journeys.
The Summit also saw the debut of the revolutionary Omoda 5 SHS-H and Jaecoo 5 SHS-H hybrid models which are dubbed the Hybrid Twin Stars. Under the summit’s forward-looking theme, “CO-CREATE · CO-DEFINE”, and vision of “Enter Super Next,” these vehicles deliver a seamless fusion of energy efficiency, intelligent driving, and dynamic performance across all scenarios.
The Omoda 5 SHS-H embodies the innovative “One Car, Two Vibes” philosophy. In Sport mode, the Omoda 5 SHS-H unleashes its full hybrid power with a combined output of 165 kW, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds, offering an exhilarating highway experience.
The Jaecoo 5 SHS-H, built with HEV Super Hybrid technology, shares the same platform advantages while delivering a refined off-road-inspired experience. A fifth-generation 1.5TGDI hybrid engine and electric motor work in tandem to provide strong, responsive acceleration, with combined fuel consumption as low as 5.3L/100 km. Its smooth city handling and quiet cabin garnered praise from European media, with one journalist calling the ride “serene, almost therapeutic.”
As the global industrial landscape undergoes profound restructuring, technological innovation is being endowed with a new mission—its core value has transcended individual product breakthroughs to focus on building a systematic ecosystem that integrates technology with users, scenarios, and society.
