The BYD Tang DM-I, a full-size SUV complete with advance super DM-i features, came off the wraps and promises to be a game-changer in its segment during a glitzy event last Wednesday at the Space at One Ayala.
Boasting of the efficiency of BYD’s advanced powertrain with the versatility and presence of a 7-seater SUV, the BYD Tang DM-I certainly rocked the full-SUV segment in the local market as it was priced very competitively at eye-popping P2,098,000.

This includes 8 years or 160,000 kilometers for the Blade Battery, 8 years or 150,000 kms for the electric motor and control systems, and a 6-year or 150,000-km new vehicle warranty. The all-new BYD Tang DM-i is powered by BYD’s Super DM-i technology, which combines a turbocharged onboard generator with a 21.5 kWh Blade battery, delivering a total output of 271 PS and 315 Nm of torque which enables it to 0-100 km/h in 7.5s. This advanced system ensures exceptional energy efficiency while covering a dynamic and responsive driving experience. With a combined driving range of over 1,000 kms and 110 kms of pure EV mode driving, the BYD Tang DM-i is built to support both everyday mobility and long-distance travel, giving drivers the freedom to go further without compromise.
When it comes to charging efficiency, the BYD Tang DM-i can charge from 15 percent to 100 percent in about three hours using AC power or from 30 percent to 80 percent in 22 minutes via DC charging.
