Pasig new multi-purpose covered court

The Department of Public Works and Highways National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) – Metro Manila 1st District Engineering Office recently completed the construction of the new multi-purpose covered court for residents of Villa Monsod in Barangay San Joaquin, Pasig City.

According to DPWH-NCR, the new multi-purpose court provides the community not just recreational space but also serves as an evacuation site during emergencies.

The project includes the construction of 816 square meters of multipurpose covered court built in accordance with the FIBA (International Basketball Federation) standard size.

The former dilapidated structure at Barangay San Joaquin was transformed into a multipurpose covered court that will serve as both an emergency evacuation center in times of disaster and a recreational site for various community activities.

This project is part of the DPWH’s commitment to providing community-centric projects in the National Capital Region, under the ‘Build Better More’ program under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
