Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League (MPL) Philippines honored the league’s finest talents during the 4th Alamat Awards, held on 24 October 2025, at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City. Presented by Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), Smart, and Infinix, this year’s ceremony celebrated excellence, dedication, and sportsmanship in the country’s premier MLBB esports league.
Launched as a tribute to the Filipino word “Alamat”—meaning legend—the awards have evolved into one of the most anticipated highlights of every MPL PH season. The annual event not only recognized outstanding players, coaches, and teams, but also honored the storytellers and content creators who amplify the league’s narratives across various media platforms.
Aligned with the Season 16 theme, “Eras of the League,” this year’s Alamat Awards served as a bridge between generations, celebrating both the icons who defined past eras and the new faces shaping the future. The return of the “Rookie of the Season” award further underscored MPL PH’s commitment to spotlighting emerging talent alongside its established legends.
Leading the list of honorees, Aurora Gaming (RORA) dominated the Infinix All-Star Team 1, with Jan Dominic “Domengkite” Del Mundo IV, Edward Jay “Edward” Dapadap, Kenneth Carl “Yue” Tadeo, and Dylan Aaron “Light” Catipon securing four of the five positions. Karl Gabriel “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno of Team Liquid Philippines (TLPH) joined them as Jungler.
The BPI All-Star Team 2 featured a mix of standouts from RORA, ONIC Philippines (ONIC), and TLPH, including Grant Duane “Kelra” Pillas, Jonard Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto, Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya, Frince Miguel “SuperFrince” Ramirez, and Jay Pee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz.
Fans also had their say through the Smart Fans’ Choice All-Stars, which saw ONIC sweep all five categories, led by Kelra, K1NGKONG, Kirk, SuperFrince, and Brusko.
Jan Dominic “Domengkite” Del Mundo IV of RORA earned the Infinix Most Improved Player of the Season title, capping off an impressive campaign that showcased his rapid growth and consistency. Master The Basics and Dex Star of Aurora Gaming were named the Coaching Team of the Season for their strategic mastery and leadership that led their team to the top spot of the regular season.
The BPI Rookie Player of the Season award went to Miguel “Sionnn” Alcantara of Twisted Minds (TWIS), recognized for his promising debut performance and adaptability under pressure. Dylan Aaron “Light” Catipon of RORA was crowned the Regular Season MVP, cementing his status as one of the league’s most dependable and influential leaders.
The Alamat Awards also paid tribute to the storytellers and media outlets who helped bring the MPL PH experience closer to fans. Spin.PH received the Smart Legendary Features Writer Award for its masterful storytelling and insightful features that captured both the struggles and triumphs of players like KarlTzy and Light, as well as its detailed chronicle of Blacklist International’s iconic UBE Strat.
Tiebreaker Times earned the Savage Storyteller Award for giving depth and emotional context to MPL PH stories, turning defining moments such as Sanji’s tribute to league legends and Aurora’s global lessons into meaningful narratives that highlight the league’s growth and legacy.
ALL-STAR Magazine took home the Infinix Mythic Media Award for elevating esports journalism through high-quality features and visuals that celebrated icons like KarlTzy, showcasing how MPL PH players have become true role models and national figures.
“The Alamat Awards represent more than just recognition—they are our way of honoring the individuals and communities that continue to shape the legacy of MPL Philippines. Each season, we celebrate not only the players and coaches who define our eras, but also the storytellers and fans who keep our legends alive,” said Lee Viloria, MOONTON PH Esports Business Development and Partnerships Head.
“Through the support of our partners Infinix, Smart, and BPI, we are able to elevate this celebration into something truly meaningful. Their shared commitment to innovation, connection, and community reflects the same values that drive MPL PH forward, ensuring that every award given carries the weight of both excellence and purpose.”
