Manila Water assures reliable water service during the holidays

Manila Water is assuring its more than 7.8 million customers across the East Zone of Metro Manila and Rizal that they will continue to enjoy uninterrupted water service throughout the Christmas and New Year holidays. The company strengthened its operational readiness to support the expected increase in household consumption as families prepare for gatherings, celebrations and out-of-town travel this festive season.

While no major service interruptions are expected this season, Manila Water’s operations team remain vigilant and ready for any emergency leak repairs. Manila Water has prepositioned teams to respond to major bursts or emergency leaks despite the holiday break, underscoring its continued commitment to uninterrupted 24/7 service during periods of high customer activity.

Metro Manila’s primary water source is also in a favorable condition heading into the holidays. Angat Dam is at a healthy elevation of 213.61 meters (as of 17 December 2025), surpassing its normal high-water level of 212 meters. This assures sufficient raw water supply for treatment and distribution, supporting stable production as demand naturally rises in December.

As customers prepare for the holidays, Manila Water encourages the continued practice of simple #WaterWais habits such as checking for leaks before leaving for out-of-town trips and using water efficiently during food preparation and cleanup.
