VinFast opens 2026 with bigger e-SUVs, nationwide expansion

Although very new in the local automotive market, VinFast has evolved from a market newcomer into an electric vehicle brand with a rapidly expanding presence and growing recognition among Filipino consumers. Today, VinFast stands as a representative of Southeast Asia in the global electric vehicle race, demonstrating that the region is no longer merely a follower, but an active contributor to the future of mobility.

VinFast is set to continue expanding, supported by a series of breakthrough policies and, most importantly, a significantly broadened product lineup this 2026. With a portfolio spanning from the VF 3 and VF 5 to the VF 6, VF 7, and VF 9,  VinFast addresses diverse mobility needs while offering options across multiple price points.

VinFast also plans to introduce this year electric scooters and an MPV in the Philippines, vehicle segments with high market demand and strong growth potential, aimed at further accelerating market penetration and expanding its share in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic automotive markets.

VinFast’s Thanksgiving gathering themed “The Road We Share,” middle of this month recognized the role of automotive media practitioners, KOLs, and industry partners for its promotion in the brand’s journey in the Philippines and to mark the transition into its next stage of growth.

“We are entering 2026 with strong momentum, built on the trust and support we have earned in the Philippines over the past two years. This year is about accelerating, expanding access, strengthening our ecosystem, and making electric mobility a source of confidence and pride for Filipino driver,” said Toti Zara, the CEO of VinFast Southeast Asia.

VinFast underscored that its next phase of growth will be built not in isolation, but in close partnership with the local market it aims to serve.

Building on its early momentum, VinFast is scaling up its ambitions with a stronger focus on larger, more versatile vehicles. The VF 6, VF 7, and VF 9 are set to become the company’s core growth drivers in the Philippines, responding to rising demand for spacious, family-friendly electric SUVs designed for both daily commutes and long-distance travel.

Beyond SUVs, VinFast also plans to introduce electric scooters and electric multi-purpose vehicles (MPV), further broadening its portfolio to serve a wide range of mobility needs, from urban commuters to growing Filipino households.

Supporting this expanded lineup is a growing nationwide retail and service presence. VinFast currently operates 30 dealerships and 34 service workshops across the country and plans to scale this within the year, prioritizing major cities and high-potential regions to make sales and aftersales support more accessible and convenient for customers.

At the same time, the company’s ecosystem push extends to charging infrastructure. Through V-GREEN, VinFast is steadily rolling out charging stations across key urban centers and major transport corridors, with further expansion planned for 2026 to support both electric cars and electric two-wheelers. This growing network is aimed at reducing range anxiety and strengthening long-term confidence in EV ownership, ensuring that customers are supported not just at the point of purchase, but throughout their transition to electric mobility.
