Kia Philippines posted a 16.7% year-on-year growth in 2025, making it one of the fastest-growing mainstream established automotive brand in the country as its retail sales rose from 6,692 units in 2024 to 7,810 units in 2025.
“2025 was a defining year for Kia Philippines, as we achieved 16.7% year-on-year growth and emerged as the fastest-growing mainstream established automotive brand in the country. This milestone reflects the strength of our product portfolio, our customer-centric approach, and our commitment to offering mobility solutions that meet the evolving needs of Filipino motorist,” Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, the chief executive officer of ACMobility, said.
On the other hand, Jay Lopez, the managing director of Kia Philippines, said:
“The performance in 2025 reflects how Filipino motorists responded to our cars, our service, and the people behind the brand. It’s a result of a year focused on delivering a better ownership experience every day.”
Kia’s strong performance in 2025 was driven by impressive results from its core models, which achieved significant gains in their respective segments. The Kia Carnival ranked second in the premium midsize MPV segment by 30% year-on-year (YoY) growth and reinforcing its appeal among families and executives seeking space, comfort, and an everyday first-class experience.
Meanwhile, the Kia Sonet emerged as a key growth driver, ranking second in the entry subcompact SUV segment with a remarkable 54% YoY increase. It successfully challenged long-established competitors in one of the market’s most competitive categories, offering drivers the chance to “Love the Drive,” with its dynamic performance and versatile design. The introduction of the Kia Sonet K-Style Edition further strengthened this momentum, delivering a more expressive look that resonates with the individuality and creativity of today’s generation.
In 2025, Kia Philippines also completed its three-prong powertrain lineup, offering customers a full range of fuel-powered, fully electric, and turbo-hybrid options. The addition of the Turbo Hybrid options, such as the Kia Sorento 7-seater hybrid SUV and the Kia Carnival Turbo Hybrid, played a key role in broadening Kia’s market reach and driving overall growth, as more Filipino motorists looked to balance performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
Beyond sales, Kia Philippines earned significant recognition for its commitment to customer experience and dealer network excellence. The brand received the 2025 Sales Customer Satisfaction Significant Improvement Award (KSCS) from Kia Asia Pacific, acknowledging measurable gains in sales customer satisfaction. Further emphasizing this commitment, Kia Pasig was named the 2025 Global Best Dealer, underscoring Kia’s local dealer network and its ability to deliver world-class service and quality aligned with global Kia standards.
