Long-time Isuzu dealer group ACMobility, together with dealer principal Iconic Dealership, Inc. through its Isuzu Pasig branch, and with the support of Isuzu Philippines Corporation, formally turned over a six-wheeler Isuzu FVR34 Q Euro-IV truck fitted with an 8,000-liter water tanker to the Philippine Red Cross for their commitment to disaster preparedness and humanitarian response.
Leading the turnover ceremony were Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility, and Mr. Eric Wambangco, IDI Isuzu Brand Head, together with IPC President Mikio Tsukui, PRC Chairman Richard Gordon and PRC Secretary General Dr. Gwendolyn Pang, highlighting the organizations’ collective commitment to humanitarian service, disaster resilience, and community support.
“These Isuzu trucks are more than the commercial vehicles they started out as – they are mobile lifelines, purpose-built to bring relief and hope. In times of crisis, the durability, reliability and power that Isuzu builds into every one of its vehicles gives the Philippine Red Cross the strength to push through,” said Zobel de Ayala.
As the Philippine Red Cross continues to deliver vital humanitarian services nationwide, the donated water tanker will directly support PRC’s disaster management operations, particularly in Cebu, where access to clean and safe water is often disrupted during emergencies. The vehicle will be utilized for water distribution, hygiene promotion, and sustained humanitarian assistance in disaster-affected communities.
PRC chairman Richard Gordon expressed his appreciation for the partnership and highlighted the importance of collaborations in strengthening humanitarian response efforts. “Partnerships like this allow us to respond faster and serve more people, especially in areas where water scarcity becomes a serious health risk after disasters,” Gordon said.
IPC president Mikio Tsukui expressed his appreciation for ACMobility and IDI’s meaningful initiative, emphasizing the importance of strong partnerships between the private sector and humanitarian organizations. “We are proud to witness our dealer partner, ACMobility, together with Iconic Dealership, Inc., take part in this meaningful initiative with the Philippine Red Cross. At Isuzu, we believe mobility can make a real difference in people’s lives, especially during times of crisis. Through this Isuzu FVR Water Tanker, we hope to support PRC’s disaster response efforts and help bring immediate assistance to communities in need,” said Tsukui.
Part of Isuzu’s F-Series medium-duty truck line-up, the FVR34 is engineered on a foundation of proven durability and reliability. Its reinforced chassis frame is designed for heavy-duty applications, providing superior load support and structural stability, while its high axle capacity enables the vehicle to safely transport up to 8,000 liters of water across various localities.
Powered by the Euro IV-compliant Isuzu 6HK1-TCN Blue Power Diesel Engine, the FVR34 delivers dependable performance, fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions. Designed for demanding operations, the Blue Power engine supports long-term operational reliability while helping minimize downtime and optimize operating costs—making it ideal for disaster response and public service operations.
