PNB, Luna Securities team up on digital retirement investing

Philippine National Bank (PNB) has partnered with Luna Securities Inc. to make retirement investing more accessible to Filipinos through digital platforms.

Under a strategic agreement, Luna Securities, an accredited Personal Equity and Retirement Account (PERA) administrator, will distribute PNB’s PERA products through its digital investment platform.

The partnership aims to expand access to retirement investment solutions and provide a more convenient experience, from account opening to redemption, as more Filipinos turn to digital investing.

PERA is the country’s voluntary retirement savings program, designed to encourage long-term investments through tax incentives and other benefits.

“This partnership represents an important step in expanding access to PERA and encouraging more Filipinos to start investing for retirement,” said Jiah Santos, PNB senior vice president and chief trust officer.

By combining PNB’s investment management expertise with Luna Securities’ digital capabilities, the collaboration seeks to make retirement planning more convenient and relevant to today’s investors, Santos said.

Luna Securities also welcomed the agreement, citing a shared goal of widening access to investment and retirement planning services through technology.

PNB said the partnership forms part of its broader strategy to expand its investment business through innovative products and strategic alliances, while helping more Filipinos build long-term financial security.
