BDO launches 24/7 forex kiosks at NAIA 3

BDO Unibank has introduced round-the-clock self-service currency exchange machines at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3, allowing arriving passengers to convert foreign cash into pesos within minutes.

The Sy-led bank said the automated kiosks accept US dollars, euros and Japanese yen, offering travelers an alternative to lining up for teller assistance or completing manual transaction forms.

The machines can process up to 30 banknotes at a time using real-time authentication and security features. They dispense Philippine peso bills and coins, along with a printed transaction receipt.

Passengers must scan their passports and undergo photo capture before completing an exchange to help verify their identities and secure transactions.

“Travelers today expect convenience at every touchpoint of their journey,” said Cora Mallillin, BDO executive vice president and head of its branch banking group.

The currency exchange machines give customers greater flexibility in meeting their foreign exchange needs, allowing them to access pesos through a few steps, she added.

The kiosks are located just past immigration clearance, in front of BDO’s airport branch, and operate 24 hours a day.

BDO said the service responds to growing demand for automated and digital travel solutions, with competitive exchange rates available to passengers upon arrival.
