Sen. Loren Legarda renewed her call for the Department of Education (DepEd) to build green schools and restore heritage school buildings in the country during the hearing on the proposed 2017 budget of the Department. 

Sen. Cynthia Villar led the inauguration of the completed construction of the C5 Road South Extension project spanning the Las Piñas City and Parañaque City segment. 

The Makati City government through the Office of the Building Officials ordered all developers and contractors of ongoing constructions in the city including those involved in the construction of high rise to conduct regular declogging of drainage facilities around their job sites to prevent flooding during heavy rain.

An urban drainage system project costing P96.5 million in Butuan City that is part of Agusan River Basin Flood Control Project has been completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). 

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region 6 (Western Visayas inaugurated three fish-landing centers, costing P2.85 million each, in strategic areas in the coastal communities of Aklan, Capiz and Iloilo provinces. 

The National Housing Authority (NHA) has started the construction of a 754-unit row-housing project in Guindaponan village, Culaba town, Biliran province. 

Sen. Juan Miguel F. Zubiri urged the government to speed up infrastructure construction as the best two-pronged strategy to create more jobs and modernize transport infrastructure.
