The pickup segment of the local auto industry heats up once again with the entry of Radar EV of the United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. which was launched last Friday night at The Blue Leaf in Bridgetown, Pasig City.
Considered as the reigning No. 1 new energy vehicle pickup in China since its inception two years ago, the Radar EV is expected to rock the local pickup market which is now getting bigger with the entry of several brands.

There are two models that UAAGi is introducing to the local market and they are the: RD6 Econ (BEV) that comes in three variants with corresponding introductory prices – 4×2 – P1,358,000; 4×2 (Long Bed) – P1,548,000; and AWD – 1,698,000; and the RD6 EM-P 4×4 (PHEV) that also comes in three variants with corresponding introductory prices — Comfort 4×4 – P1,658,000; Elite 4×4 – 1,758,000; and the Luxury 4×4 — P1,898,000
Known as Riddara in some international market, the Radar is a global brand owned by the Geely Auto Group that specializes in mid‑size electric and plug‑in hybrid pickups. It is also known for its electrified powertrains, sturdy build quality, and modern tech and safety appointments, making it ideal for both fleet and personal use.
Radar has commanded over 50% of the NEV pickup market since 2023 in China, and continues to hold the distinction of being the No. 1 NEV pick-up in China. It is also being sold in several territories including the Asia-Pacific region, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Central America, and South America.

The RD6 Econ (BEV) delivers pure electric performance, going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. With 136PS from the front motor and 245PS from the rear, it produces a total of 381 PS and 485Nm of torque for powerful acceleration.
On the other hand, the RD6 EM-P is a plug-in hybrid electric pickup (PHEV) engineered for supreme utility and efficiency which has a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an advanced dual-motor system—producing 218PS from the front motor and 245PS from the rear—delivering a commanding peak power output of 463PS and peak torque of 659Nm.
All new RADAR RD6 models come with a 5-year or 150,000 km Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty, whichever comes first. The High Voltage (HV) battery is covered by a separate 8-year or 200,000 km warranty whichever comes first. They also come with three years of free roadside assistance.
