Losses from recent weather disturbances have exceeded ₱3 billion, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported Friday.
In its latest situational update, the agency said agricultural damage reached ₱2.31 billion across Regions 1 (Ilocos), 2 (Cagayan Valley), 3 (Central Luzon), Calabarzon, Mimaropa, 5 (Bicol), 6 (Western Visayas), Negros Island Region and 12 (Soccsksargen).
Infrastructure damage was pegged at ₱1.84 billion in the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, and Central Visayas.
The NDRRMC also reported 140,070 damaged houses, including 115,442 partially damaged and 24,628 totally destroyed.
A total of 1,209,202 families, or 4,586,011 individuals in 9,285 barangays, have been affected.
Casualties remain at 40, with four confirmed in CAR. Forty-one people were reported injured, while 15 are still missing, subject to validation.
The destruction was attributed to the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat) and tropical cyclones Mirasol, Nando, and Opong.
