Projecting bigger growth in the backoffice business with the strong talent pool and market demand in the Philippines, data quality governance firm BackOffice Associates (BA) in partnership with local information technology firm Third Pillar Business Applications Inc. has opened a Global Delivery Center.
BA intends to use its Manila hub to introduce the next generation information governance applications in the region.
“Asia Pacific is the fastest growing market for BackOffice Associates globally, and the strong talent pool and market demand in the Philippines will be a crucial part of that continued growth,” Krish Datta, CEO of BackOffice Associates Asia Pacific, Japan and Middle East, said.
Jennifer Ligones, president and CEO of Third Pillar, said BackOffice Associates’ opening of new office in the county reinforces Third Pillar’s commitment to provide a solid foundation for business services among the enterprises in the country.
“We acknowledge the power of technology, but we believe that expertise and industry experience are crucial to each project’s success,” Ligones said.
At a recent press conference, Senior Director for Customer Solutions Peter Smyth said “traditional information governance methods still struggle to help organizations maintain the level of data quality needed in rapidly changing business environments.”
Along with the opening of global delivery center in Manila BaskOffice Associates launched a new data stewardship platform application called dspConduct.
BackOffice Associates released Version 6.5 of its flagship Data Stewardship Platform (DSP) and debuted its newest dspConduct application for comprehensive business process governance and application data management across all data in all systems.
“We had in mind a truly holistic information governance solution to design, execute and enforce key data policies across the entire data and systems landscape when we launched dspConduct in May,” Smyth said.
BackOffice has been helping large enterprises in the Philippines to set up back office systems since 2011 with customers such as Ayala Land, Meralco, JG Summit, among others.
“With the opening of our Manila office, we are the only specialist provider in the market with the right combination of local presence, global resources and world class solutions to fulfill the Philippines’ data modernization and EPM needs in the most cost effective manner possible,” Datta added.
BackOffice hopes to provide services for Enterprise Information Management (EIM), SAP Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) to cater to Philippine as well as global customers.
