Concepcion Building and Industrial Solutions conducts training on green air conditioning technologies, highlighting the use of R-410A refrigerants with zero ozone-depleting potentials, to its building solutions partners (BSPs).

Concepcion group pursues bid to employ ‘green’ technology

Concepcion Industrial Inc. (CIC) seeks to fulfill its commitment to switch all of its product lines to environmentally-responsible refrigerants with its commercial arm, Concepcion Building and Industrial Solutions (BIS), sharing its advocacy to protect the environment through training sessions for its business partners.

“We believe that the private sector has the capability to steer the construction industry towards mitigating the impacts of climate change. Together with our Building Solutions Partners (BSPs), who are also influencers in the industry, including owners of contractor companies, design engineers, installation officers and supervisors, and sales personnel, we can realize sustainable development through more efficient operations and green technologies,” Rajan Komarasu, Group Director of Concepcion BIS, said.

Concepcion BIS reiterated its green advocacy during the implementation and Training Program for Concepcion BIS’ R-410A Packaged Splits, conducted recently. Under the Green Footprints Movement that CIC launched in 2016, Concepcion BIS has been converting the refrigerants of all of its product lines from R-22 to R-410A, and is set to offer new models using the refrigerant within the year.

“The R22 is a hydro chlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) that contributes to the depletion of the ozone layer and is less energy efficient compared to the R-410A, which is an environmentally responsible refrigerant. R-410A has zero ozone-depleting potential and complies with the latest global air-conditioning standards,” shares Komarasu.

“This move is also in accordance with the Montreal Protocol, and CIC is making the switch way ahead of the international agreement’s 2020 deadline for developed countries to phase out HCFCs. Armed with this knowledge, our BSPs understand that the R-410a systems could help them save on operating costs and ensure that they are still globally acceptable,” he continues.

Concepcion BIS partners with contractor companies from NCR, Luzon, and its Regional Office in Cebu to complement its integrated solutions offering and sustaining the booming construction industry.

“We tap business partners across the country that share our vision for the industry and can replicate our end-to-end solutions. In return, more than providing our products at competitive prices, we conduct technical training on installing and maintaining the products, determining the types of projects our solutions are best suited for, and marketing assistance to enable our partners’ businesses to grow alongside ours,” notes Komarasu.

Concepcion BIS is also optimistic of the industry’s prospects toward greener growth.

“We value our relationship with our partners because we believe that we can collaborate to steer the industry towards a more sustainable growth. We will continuously conduct these trainings to empower our BSPs in this joint mission to reduce the effects of climate change and support the thriving construction industry,” Komarasu concludes.
