Having a luxurious electric vehicle in town is what FAW Hongqi, one of the newest Chinese brand manufacturers venturing in the country today, would bring to the local market when it appointed EVOxTerra as its official distributor in the Philippines.
The official appointment was made during the showcasing of the cars to be introduced to the Philippine market consist of four models that classified in two categories – New Energy Vehicles (NEV) and Internal Combustion Energy (ICE) – at the TDG In.Hub in Taguig City.
Hongqi is one of China’s most prestigious luxury passenger car brands with a long, rich, illustrious history having been established in 1958. Its line of limousines and SUVs continues to be the vehicle of choice for use by high-ranking government officials and visiting heads of state as well as influential heads of industries, prominent business personalities, and opulent celebrities.

“We are extremely proud to bring this legendary car marque to the Philippines and let Filipinos finally experience for themselves the many reasons why Hongqi remains such an enduring international brand,” said Rashid Delgado, the president of EVOxTerra.
Delgado added that the partnership with Hongqi is further proof of EVOxTerra’s commitment to promoting sustainability that brings forth progressive brands firmly entrenched in the future of mobility.

For his part, EVOxTerra vice president and general manager Robert Shaw, who presided over the whole event, said: “With the country well on its way to recovery from the pandemic, we think this is an excellent time to further expand Hongqi’s global footprint. Local customers are assured of the excellent after-sales support that EVOxTerra is known for. We are also inviting and looking forward to working with local partners and dealers who want to bring Hongqi to the rest of the country.”
The formal partnership between the two companies comes just a few months after Hongqi’s first appearance in the Philippines via the 10th Philippine Electric Vehicle (EV) Summit held in October last year. The event showcased the Hongqi E-HS9 electric sport utility vehicle which boasts European-inspired styling and very plush interiors.
