Manila International Auto Show 2024 Cars Galore

The Manila International Auto Show 2024 had a successful return last week in two venues – at the World Trade Center Metro Manila and SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City.

With this year’s theme “Bridging the Future,” which describes MIAS very well as the prime auto show event to showcase the future developments and innovations of the automotive industry, among the events included were latest car reveals, truck displays, Russ Swift’s Stunt Show, the Die-Cast Car Collection, and even the Petron Custom and Classic Car Competition. MIAS 2024 was for the benefit of ABS CBN Foundation Inc. and was organized by Worldbex Services International.

Jetour Auto Philippines Inc. unveiled its two newest vehicles – the Jetour Dashing Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle and the Jetour T2 4×4 SUV.

The Jetour Dashing PHEV is the ultimate fusion of fuel and electric, and represents JAPI’s commitment to sustainable and green mobility and derives its power from two propulsion systems – the 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with the 3DHT automatic transmission, and the electric motor powered by the Ternary lithium battery. It is now for just P1,950,000. 

On the other hand, the Jetour T2 is a powerful 4X4 beast that can conquer any terrain, and combines rugged capability with refined aesthetics which is 2.0-liter Kunpeng Turbo Gas Direct (Injection) TGDI powered engine mated to the Magna 7DCT 3rd-generation wet dual-clutch transmission with intelligent execution system that generates up to 251 horsepower and up to 390 Nm of torque. It goes for P2,598,000.

Meanwhile, Nissan Philippines gave a glimpse of what the future has in store for electrified mobility as it unveil the Nissan Ariya, the perfect embodiment of Nissan Intelligent Mobility  showcasing the best of what Nissan currently has to offer in terms of innovative technology. 

Built on a dedicated EV platform, designers were able to take a new approach to design, setting aside the limitations of an internal combustion engine platform. Under the hood, the Ariya features Nissan’s e-4ORCE AWD powertrain, delivering the exhilarating performance the brand is known for in an all-electric package. 

Aside from the Nissan Ariya, Nissan also presented other models such as the All-New Z and the New GT-R. Outside of the main show floor, Nissan continues its showcase through an outdoor display area, centered around the Nissan Urvan GX camper concept. 

On the other hand, the “Generation Chevrolet booths were designed to inspire sharing of personal encounters with the brand and offer a chance to test drive the current models on display. 

The enduring legacy of this badge is now in today’s Corvette Stingray Coupe 3LT Z51, boasting the first mid-engine V8 layout of the famed badge, mated to an 8-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission; the sixth-generation Camaro, also one of the most recognizable sports cars, with over five million sold since its introduction in the 1960s boasts a responsive 2.0L Turbo Intercooled Cast-Aluminum Engine, enhancing reliability and fuel efficiency with an array of new technologies. Joining these legends were the Chevrolet Trax, Tracker, Trailblazer, Tahoe, and Suburban.
