AXA, a global leader in insurance and investment, recently announced the appointment of Ayman Kandil as its new President & Chief Executive Officer for AXA Philippines, effective October 1, 2024. Mr. Kandil is currently the Chief Distribution Officer of AXA Philippines. In this new post, he brings extensive executive experience and a proven track record in the insurance industry. He will be succeeding Bernardo Serrano who will be transitioning to a new role within the AXA Group after two years of dedicated and transformative leadership. Mr. Serrano will also maintain a close relationship with the Philippines as he continues to collaborate with the AXA Philippines Board of Directors.
Mr. Kandil brings more than 26 years of executive experience in the insurance industry and a successful tenure as CEO of AXA Egypt, overseeing four companies: AXA Egypt Investment, AXA Egypt Life, AXA Egypt Non-Life, and AXA Egypt Services. His visionary ‘one-stop shop’ strategy, coupled with his relentless commitment to customers, has made waves for over two million individuals and businesses.

Mr. Kandil is a member of AXA Philippines’ Executive Committee and together with Mr. Serrano, he has been instrumental in the company’s growth and transformation in the past year. Under this new leadership, the company aims to further strengthen its position in the local market by touching more lives and providing more innovative solutions for customers.
