The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) recognized nine institutional partners of its South Luzon Regional Office (SLRO) during the 2024 Outstanding BSP Stakeholders Appreciation Ceremony (OBSAC) held on September 23, 2024 in Lucena City.
BSP Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat thanked the awardees and said, “At the core of our partnership is a common goal: a resilient economy that improves the lives of all Filipinos.”
On August 2 and September 16, 2024, the BSP held similar appreciation events for its Head Office and Visayas Regional Office partners, respectively. The central bank will also host appreciation ceremonies in North Luzon and Mindanao.
Since 2004, the OBSAC has served as a venue for the BSP to acknowledge exceptional financial institutions, local government units, companies, and organizations that have contributed to its core objectives of ensuring price stability, financial stability, and a secure and efficient payment and settlement system.
The BSP has also been recognizing partner organizations that support its special initiatives, such as promoting financial inclusion, digitalization, proper management of banknotes and coins, and cybersecurity practices for financial transactions.
