Honda Cars Cainta opens spanking facility

In its aim to further serve their growing Honda customers better, the Gateway Gateway Honda Cars opened its newest Body Paint and Repair facilities in Cainta in Rizal.

The spanking facility boasts of approximately 1,100 sq. meters of covered structure that is part of the whole complex operating as a full 3-Star Honda dealership under the leadership of its general manager Ferdinand “Macoy” Uy. 

This Honda BPR facility has highly-trained technicians to provide high-quality body and paint repairs. They underwent rigid training and schooling straight from the Honda Cars’ experts. And all the parts and paints come straight from Honda and they are all original and of assured quality.

In order to fastrack the operation, the BPR facility is divided into repair and painting in which two different works on the accepted Honda cars can be done. “Our facility is equipped with quality and efficient tools to complement with our work procedures. Starting from the floor layout, we have dedicated separate areas for both body and paint repairs to prevent interference of specific repair procedures. Honda Cars Philippines and our team have carefully studied this to also increase our productivity,” GM Macoy Uy said. 

Those for repair are assured of standard techniques and materials being used while also utilizing unique skills and innovative technology. “We offer full body alignment and this is automated to ensure precise alignment of body or frame parts. The technology itself determines if the panels which have been crumpled from collision cannot be repaired anymore and must be replaced in order to assure the safety of the customers. We place great importance in vehicle safety which the value is what the customers are paying for,” said GM Macoy Uy.

Those for painting are served on the different section in which Honda’s environmental direction to contribute to zero volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are chemicals that can evaporate into the air, is being followed strictly. “That is why we apply water-based paint and appropriate underlying sub-materials. This is also the very same paint specifications for the car models from which country they are manufactured from. Our paint booth complements our water-based paint materials that promotes faster drying and ensures dust free, correct amount of paint, and virtually matched shade of painted panels,” GM Macoy Uy said.

Only Honda cars are accommodated since the facility also serves as a satellite “heavy BPR” for the other Honda branches operated by Gateway such as Honda Cars Fairview and Honda Cars Marcos Highway.

The facility can handle simultaneous works on six cars per day and GM Macoy Uy said that the facility is now capable of more than a hundred cars per month. “The average turnout of our BP repairs depends on the scope of work necessary to be performed during repairs. In average, light repairs without any major tinsmith takes 2-3 days. If with dent works, that might take around 3-5 working days. For medium to moderately heavy it might take 7-12 working days. And for major to severe collision repairs, it would take around 15-25 days. We also do washover here,” he said.

Aside from the BP repair services, Honda Cars Cainta gives their customers honest estimates and even assured them of the essential parts for their Honda vehicles. “We also assist with document processing if their vehicles are insured, and we may provide payment options for individuals who want to pay in cash. Yes, we accept repairs from insurance claims and we also have bank partners that may also assist customers through other preferred payment options,” Macoy Uy said.
