Manila Water highlights waterways protection as June desludging schedule begins

In line with its commitment to environmental protection and public health, Manila Water encourages customers to take advantage of its scheduled septic tank desludging service this month of June.

Regular desludging, ideally every five years, helps prevent untreated wastewater from contaminating our waterways, and supports a cleaner, more sustainable future for all.

For this month of June, Manila Water desludging trucks and personnel will be deployed in the following barangays: Mayamot and San Jose in Antipolo, Rizal; Palangoy, Pantok, Layunan, Libis, and Mambog in Binangonan, Rizal; San Pedro in Angono, Rizal; San Jose, San Isidro, and San Rafael in Montalban (Rodriguez), Rizal; Ampid II, Banaba, Gulod Malaya, and Silangan in San Mateo, Rizal; Industrial Valley Complex in Marikina City; Tuktukan and Panindan in Taguig City; Alicia, Pasong Tamo, Loyola Heights, Bagong Pag-asa, San Roque, Ramon Magsaysay, and Damayang Lagi in Quezon City; Batong Bato, Ermitano, Little Baguio, and Maytunas in San Juan City; and Poblacion in Mandaluyong City.

“Desludging is a simple yet powerful way for households to contribute to environmental sustainability,” said Manila Water Communication Affairs Group Director Jeric Sevilla said. “By ensuring that septic tanks are properly maintained, we help protect our water sources and reduce the risk of pollution in our communities.”

Customers are encouraged to check their barangay’s desludging schedule through the Manila Water website, official social media pages, or by calling the Manila Water Customer Care Hotline at 1627.

By participating in this program, customers not only comply with sanitation standards but also take an active role in preserving the environment for future generations.
