The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), headed by Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto, held a Responsableng Panonood seminar for members and officers of the Rotary Club of Quezon City and the Rotary Club of Marikina West on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Club Filipino, San Juan City.
The RP seminar highlighted the Agency’s commitment and dedication to raise public awareness and understanding on responsible media consumption and the important role of parents and supervising adults in guiding their children when choosing age-appropriate contents.
MTRCB Board Members Wilma Galvante, JoAnn Banaga, and Maria Carmen Musngi provided insights on the Agency’s mandate, its film and television classification system, and the importance of the Responsableng Panonood campaign.
Sotto, who graced the event, emphasized the value of public-private collaboration. “By working hand-in-hand with organizations like the Rotary Club of Quezon City and Rotary Club of Marikina West, we can expand the reach of our campaign and ensure that more Filipino families possess the knowledge necessary for making responsible and informed viewing choices,” said Sotto.
The MTRCB continues to work alongside various organizations to promote responsible media consumption and fulfill its responsibility of protecting the well-being of the viewing public, especially Filipino children, while also encouraging creativity and artistry in the Philippine film and television industry.
