At least 10 Catholic priests and a religious brother are among those who successfully passed the 2025 Bar Examinations.
According to a report posted Thursday by CBCP News, the newly minted lawyer-priests include Fr. Mcwellroe Bringas of Tagum City; Fr. Marcelo Operiano Jr. of Tagbilaran City; Fr. Danilo Dela Bajan of Masbate; Fr. Eric Marigondon of Legazpi; Fr. Gerald Lacson of Antique; and Fr. Joel Pepito Oriesga of the Archdiocese of Cebu.
Two chaplains from the Military Ordinariate also made the list of passers: Fr. Rommel Kiamko of the Philippine Air Force and Fr. Gil Rochar Dulay of the Bureau of Fire Protection.
Also passing the Bar were Augustinian Fr. Generous Gonesto and Fr. Florante Moren of the Alagad ni Maria religious institute.
Franciscan Brother Dominador Valdez Jr., a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Philippines, likewise passed the examinations.
The Supreme Court announced on Wednesday that 5,594 out of 11,420 examinees passed the 2025 Bar Examinations.
The three-day exams were conducted on Sept. 7, 10, and 14 across 14 testing centers nationwide.
