Couple Robert Chien and Lea Salonga have separated as husband and wife.
It was Lea who spilled the beans in an interview.
“We have been separated for a while,” said Lea.
“But he’s happy, I am happy that he is happy,” she added.
Unfortunately, the Broadway star didn’t mention the cause of their split.
She quipped, though, that even if they have broken up, he continues to love and care for their transman child Nicole.
She disclosed during an interview that “the dad and his partner are always there for him” like finding out if he has “sipon (colds).”
Lea is very supportive of Nic and his development as a transgender.
She even looks closely at this time when he undergoes testosterone therapy.
For Lea, kids are wonderful creations.
She has a piece of advice to parents who don’t welcome gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans children.
Salonga said that if a parent has no children yet and doesn’t want kids who would say they are gays, lesbians, bisexuals or transgenders, she suggested that one doesn’t have to have children to save them from drama and other concerns. (Boy Villasanta)
