LANDBANK and the Commission on Higher Education have partnered to advance agricultural education and fully digitalize scholarship support for nearly one million CHED scholars nationwide.
The partnership was formalized by LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz and CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis during the Higher Education Summit on 12 March 2026 at the SMX Clark Convention Center in Pampanga. It aligns CHED’s academic mission with LANDBANK’s development banking expertise to support education, agriculture, and financial inclusion.
The collaboration covers six priority areas: scholarship expansion; agri-entrepreneurship and innovation support; climate-smart research; strengthening agri-industrial capacity of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs); career development and workforce integration; and digitalization of scholarship fund disbursements.
Digitalization will allow scholars to receive allowances faster and more securely via direct crediting to their bank accounts through the LANDBANK Mobile Banking App or at any LANDBANK branch. The initiative also complements LANDBANK’s Cash-Lite Campus Program, which has already benefited over 12,500 students, staff, and campus partners nationwide.
