The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) invite the Filipino people to a series of events celebrating Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino (LMP) which is in pursuant to Proclamation No. 933, s. 2014, which designates the last week of July each year as Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino, the NCCA leads the agency tasked with spearheading this nationwide celebration of Filipino musical heritage.
On July 28, there is “Musika at Himig Natin: Ang Konsyerto” at 2 pm at the Metropolitan Theater and the NCCA Sudi National Music Awards at 8 pm both at the Metropolitan Theater.
On July 30 and 31, “Musika Talakayan sa LMP 2026 at 9 am and “Pagtatanghal: Musika at Tinig sa Mas Malapit na Espasyo” at 5 pm both at the Centro de Turismo.
On August 1, “Bagong Musika at Himig Natin: NCCA Composition Prize World Premiere Concert Series” at 5 pm at the Metropolitan Theater. (Rene Napenas)
