RLC, MMDA team up for senior, pet parks

Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) has partnered with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to develop a Senior Citizens’ Park and Pet Park at Plaza Azul in Pandacan, Manila.

The partnership was formalized through a memorandum of agreement (MOA), with RLC providing park installations and specialized pet amenities to create a safer and more welcoming space for senior citizens, families and pet owners.

The upgraded park is designed as a shared community space where residents can gather, socialize and enjoy recreational activities while promoting health and well-being.

“At Robinsons Land, we believe that thriving communities are built through inclusive spaces that bring people together,” said RLC President and CEO Mybelle V. Aragon-Gobio.

“Our partnership with the MMDA for the Plaza Azul Senior Citizens’ Park and Pet Park reflects our commitment to promoting wellness, fostering responsible pet ownership, and creating environments where both residents and their pets can enjoy meaningful experiences together,” she added.

The initiative also supports RLC’s pet advocacy program, which promotes responsible pet ownership and supports pet adoption efforts.

The company works with local government units and animal welfare organizations to help advance the care and protection of stray and rescued animals.

Through the Plaza Azul project, RLC said it aims to encourage stronger bonds between people and their pets while promoting a more responsible and compassionate pet-owning culture.

The development also forms part of the company’s broader efforts to create inclusive public spaces and support community initiatives that enhance quality of life.

RLC said partnerships with government and community stakeholders will remain an important part of its efforts to develop spaces that promote social connection, wellness and responsible citizenship.
