Alex Eala will seek a third pro title when she competes in the W60 Madrid International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournament in Spain.
The 17-year-old Eala hopes to follow up her second pro title victory last April in the W25 Chiang Rai in Thailand when she goes up against a strong field composed of world No. 99 and top seed Lin Zhu of China, second seed Anastasia Tikhonova and third pick Jaimee Fourlis of Australia.
This is the second $60,000 tournament that Eala would be competing, the first was in the W60 Grenoble in France where she went through two qualifying matches before finishing in the main draw second round.
She is coming off a quarterfinal finish in the W25 Madrid in Spain where she lost to her doubles partner, Alice Robbe.
Eala also won in the W25 Manacor in Spain last year.
